Food Bank Ministry
“… for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,… “ That is exactly what the Sixth Mt. Zion, J. C. Hairston food bank is doing. We are an organization of volunteers, which cheerfully distributes food to people in need.
While covid has been active we have had to operate differently, where you would normally come and shop.
Now you must please call the Sixth Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist church for an appointment. We distribute once a month, every third Tuesday, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Come at the appointed time and we will bring your boxes out to your car. We also know that Christmas, while it is a joyous occasion it can be sad and stressful for a parent who does not have money for a toy. That is why we host a toy drive at our church every year during the Christmas season.
